While measuring the bolt pattern on Chevy S10 only takes minutes for experienced people, beginners still prefer detailed, inclusive guides that list out all the specs there is to know.

No worries; this article is compiled for that exact purpose, delving into its lug pattern throughout each gen.

What Is The Chevy S10 Bolt Pattern

All pre-2012 models have a lug pattern of 5×120.7 mm (or 5×4.75 inches), so there are 5 lug nuts evenly spaced 4.75 inches apart. But starting in 2012, newer Chevy S10 cars were all updated to 6 x 139.7 mm or 6×5.5 in (6 lugs with 5.5-inch spacing).

Is It Worth Changing from A Five-Lug Pattern to Six-Lug Bolt Pattern?

Yes, and that is to be expected. With 6 sturdy bolts to bind the wheel and the hub together, the Chevy S10’s tire assembly is much stronger than before. Carrying heavy loads for long trips is a breeze for them.

Is Chevy S-10 Bolt Pattern The Same As Other Chevy Models?

Not all. Some models like Chevy Silverado and Tahoe do share the same 6 x 5.5 lug pattern with Chevy S10. But the difference is easy to recognize in others; examples are Chevy Spark (4 x 3.93), Camero (5 x 4.72) or Volt (5 x 4.13).

Conclusion

Updating the S10 lug pattern to 6-lug is one of the smartest decisions the Chevrolet team has ever made. Thanks to its impressive load capacity and stability,  the car has been selling like hotcakes since then.
